I remember where I was. I remember what I was doing. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. And now 15 years later, it feels like yesterday. It WAS real. The pain and memories continue to be recalled. All three locations were forever changed.
I couldn’t wait to gather all my children and sit by the tv watching. Praying. Crying. It just kept going.
So today I continue to pray for those that lost loved ones and those that survived. Those that helped and those that believed in survival.
Football – I can’t say I am a huge fan. I can’t tell you that I understand the game. I can tell you that when the Redskins play the Steelers its a pretty BIG deal. And that’s today.
The 1st game of the season! Go ‘Skins!! LOL. Oops – it’s actually Monday night football. See – I have NO clue about this sport =)
And then….Miss America 2017 –
I cannot tell you the last time I actually ‘planned’ to watch this. It’s just never been of that much interest to me. But this year? Well it’s a little different, ha! Our home town girl, county born and raised Morgan is representing the blue and gold! She is beautiful inside and out! And how cool would it be for this time tomorrow she is Miss America!? Whoa!
We have known her since she was little. She certainly has a story. Her Mom coached Brittany in cheerleading. Her Dad coached at Summit Point with Ronnie. We have watched her older sisters grow up and now look at the little one.
This reminds me of her having all of us at the county fair beauty pageant take the bullying oath. Such a sweet, special, beautiful young lady that we are proud to say we know.
Let’s bring home the crown, Morgan!!
Oh and last but in NO way least…..It’s Grandparents day!
I am happy to have THREE beautiful little princesses.
I am also happy to be honored to call this lady my Nanny!
