It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas (for Charities)…..and what a wonderful feeling it is to be able to help provide for the community.

We were honored to be invited by some friends and are committed to making this a new annual thing for us. We agreed to meet at Valet Parking. Of course we got there a little early but fear not….there’s plenty of entertaining right here in our town. Right on the curb of Valet parking, ha! Within 15 minutes it turned in to chaos. Organized chaos. Plenty of employees but seemed chaotic to me. From people not following the lanes to not leaving their ‘fob’, to taking their sweet time moving on. It was interesting. (keep in mind that even though we live here, I only been to the casinos once and did not use valet parking, lol)
Once everyone was there we headed up to the ballroom –

Ronnie got his number for bidding –

we found our table and then scanned all the items as part of the bidding auction, silent auction and bingo prizes. LOTS of good stuff. And this girl was a riot!
Dinner was served –

Of course there has to be dessert –

and then on to Bingo –

Ronnie and I each won a game of bingo which landed us two gift certificates to the Anvil. Y’all know how we love us some ‘Anvil’. =) And then the bidding auction started. Ronnie did bid and win one item that is deserving of it’s own post. I can’t spoil the fun or spill the beans yet but let’s just say that the recipients are rather excited…..CAN. NOT. WAIT.
As to the silent auction – he actually ‘won’ a couple things as well. You had to check the board at the end of the night to see if you were the highest bidder…

Love these things –

And I personally know the time and effort that goes into these – They are forever our Thanksgiving conversation piece! (of course the Applebutter is tasty, too)

Thoughts about this as our Christmas card?! (insert crying emoji)

Once everyone settled up we headed to the H-Lounge, VIP section for a little bit. Such a happenin’ place.

I think we ended up getting home after 1 which is very unusual for us but what a fun night. Fun people. And such a great cause.
Here’s the Rotary web-site and their FB page to keep up with the events that you, too can support. Our community is an awesome place but can still use any and all support.
Let’s keep moving with the holiday festivities and help everyone have
joy in their heart.
