We have a rules. We DO NOT eat anything that we can eat at home. We make a list and all decide where and when we are going (based on coupons, busier nights, etc). When we are all eating together, we agree to eat late (to miss the major rush). So now I share some great restaurants to eat in Ocean City!
These are not in order of preference. Merely in order of when we ate.
- Whenever we head down, Lombardi’s is typically a stop for either lunch or dinner. I honestly love just about any kind of pizza. Their’s is one of my favs because the crust is light. They have sweet peppers as a topping. And their cheese is the best! Not to mention this on their landing page:
Voted best pizza on the Eastern Shore. Salisbury’s oldest operating full-service restaurant, serving authentic Stone-Baked Pizza, Stromboli, Pasta, Subs & Sandwiches.
On Saturday we picked up two pizzas and headed to Nanny’s. I neglected to take pics of the pizza but this is much better =) LOVE her – we can talk for hours and never run out of topics. She is truly the best 87 year old we know!

She too, loves Lombardis. We even picked one up on our way out of town to eat for dinner on Saturday in the comfort of our own home. There are two at the beach as well. One on the road to Frontier Town/Assateague by the Food Lion and one on Coastal Highway. We have tried them once or twice as well.
2. We arrived, checked-in, unpacked, grabbed some groceries and headed toward the sunset.

To our advantage, there is a great restaurant right on the island. The Landing is beautiful both day and evening!

And the food is great too! Shrimp wrap. Burgers. Crab dip. Hot dogs.

We actually ate there twice and even enjoyed Happy Hour one afternoon which was perfect, too!
Beautiful from the upper deck, too –

3. Big Pecker’s is just one of those ‘go to’ places. Open late. Good food. Seating outside. Oh and awesome burgers guacamole dip and nice cold beverages ;). We ended up here Sunday evening.

4. The coupon queen (aka Cierra) informed us that our coupon for Warren’s Station was only valid Monday thru Thursday. So, Monday it was! Never disappointed in this place. Even when we aren’t with the kids, they be sure to dine here at least once during their stay. Love traditions…..and their food.

Full bellies = Happy folks!

5. Next up? Embers! Now, I am NOT a fan of buffets. I just don’t feel as if I get my money’s worth. But, with the coupon and variety at this place…..I think I actually did for once =) Lots and Lots of seafood. Lots and Lots of desserts. This will not be one we visit every time but will definitely visit again. Service was great. Restaurant was very clean.

The clams and crab legs were definitely a hit –

Blake took one for the team and filled out the survey =)

6. And what about The Home of the Original Orange Crush?!

After our fishing adventure we headed over to Harborside. We love this place for the food and atmosphere…..waterfront, fun dining. They have a variety of food….chicken tenders, flounder sandwich, chicken/crab club and of course Ronnie’s fav….the Ahai Tuna wrap. I think he would eat that every day!

7. Ronnie and I snuck away to The Angler Wednesday evening while the kids went to The Lazy Lizard. The sunset was breath taking –

We enjoyed the atmosphere for a little bit then ordered our dinner – Shrimp dip to start (very yummy and served with carrots, celery and cucumbers. Crab cakes and Tuna. Everything is very good there.

8. I could honestly do without the boardwalk but you have to go at least once, right? I mean what about the Alaska stand burgers and Thrashers fries? It’s always exciting to split up and go order the fries and burgers. The first one back gets to stalk for a table. Game on =)

9. On the eve before our vacation ended, we decided on Pizza. Poinzetti’s! Love the way they make their pizza. The sauce is actually on top.

It’s good either to go or dine in. We like Grotto’s too but there’s just something about Ponzetti’s. Delish!
No. 10 is actually our favorite breakfast spot – The Bayside Skillet! Their omlets, crepes and OJ is THE. BEST. This time we actually tried the crab omelet – jumbo lump crab. Wisconsin white cheddar. YUM! Of course I still had to have my strawberry, blueberry and peach crepes, ha!

This is the first time that we didn’t fix any ‘dinners’ in. We typically eat breakfast, lunch and most dinners in…..picking the top two or three to eat out. With our week so packed, we decided to eat out and enjoy the family time. One morning I fixed a casserole I had seen on Facebook. It was really good. Definitely a recipe I will use again. Tater tots, bacon, eggs & cheese. Easy and good!

Of course one morning we ran out for Fractured Prune donuts….so bad for you but oh so good and there are quite a few locations now in OC.

Whew! That was a lot of food which required me to walk A LOT. We had a list and pretty much stuck with it but…we ran out of days. Here’s some restaurants that we really wanted to check out but just didn’t have enough meals to make it – Ronnie found this blog and none of the restaurants have we eaten. I did find it interesting that the author of the blog actually worked at Warren Station through her high school and college years. The restaurants sound really good and are definitely on our list. Check THIS out.
Be sure to check back to see some of the activities that filled our week! It was a GREAT vacation.
