For whatever reason I have just been in a ‘funk’ lately. I have so much to blog about and so much to say but cannot find the right words. Balance is a struggle for me these days, too. Busy at work. I stress myself out to make sure everything is put away and in order at home. Meals at home. Laundry done.. Just a little stressed from time to time. But – I am GOING to push myself and try to do better.
Is it really November? Whew! less than two months away from 2017. And to think it was such a big deal when the calendar rolled to 2000. Ohhhh and lovin’ that Epcot ball.

I was blessed with two babies in November, 5 years apart. November 10th 1983 and November 1st 1988. Talk about WHEW?! Goodness – and they are now (or soon to be) 33 and 28.

Fall/November also brings Achievement Night for 4H. What an amazing program that has been so beneficial for our children and brought us so much fun, joy and reasons to be proud. This year was very, VERY special so be sure to check back this week as I share about our evening.

Today we gain an hour. Ronnie always laughs at me (or more like gets annoyed) when I always say “well it’s really xx o’clock”. I tend to do that for the first week until my body adjusts to driving home in the dark and I finally settle in.
The leaves change. Such beauty. And our weather has been really nice, too. I think we may have to mow the grass one more time.

It’s also the month of the 7th Annual Christmas for Charities Celebration – Hollywood Casino @ Charles Town Races. Fun times with great people!

I will also share the fun we had at that event as well this week. We really do enjoy supporting the local community.
I get to travel three times this month. Whoa! Three days. Two days. Three days. Minneapolis. Minneapolis. Des Moines. At least I have been lucky enough to be granted TSA precheck (Shoes on. Laptops in. Purse zipped up.) and have enough sky miles I get Zone 1. Yay me!

IT IS SOON ELECTION Day! Oh my goodness. And this woman is keeping the family in stitches, lol. I think we are a ‘split’ family all the way around but who cares at this point?!

This is the craziest election I have ever seen. We had a voicemail from a 12 year old sharing why we should vote for someone. Good grief. Has it really come to this?! I was honestly sad that I wouldn’t be home watching this ‘event in history’ with my family. I did go vote early though since I wouldn’t be able to partake in the actual day =) Only stood in line for two hours….the guard told me i had to turn off all my cell phones…..I said ‘ummm do you have another form of oxygen?!” He Was. Not. humored..hehe

And if you’re looking for an Election Digital Scrapbook kit – this one is awesome from Trixie Scraps.
Oh and I certainly can’t overlook Thanksgiving! LOVE. Love Thanksgiving. No gifts required, just a time to be thankful, have gratitude, gain a few pounds and spend time with family. My all-time fav holiday. (Note, I didn’t say most important….no doubt Easter and Christmas are =)

Black Friday happens – well, it seems it’s not just one day anymore. Regardless, I have never been interested in going out in the middle of the night and fighting the crazies. I prefer to sit at home in my comfy chair with my candles burning shopping for those famous deals.

And then of course there’s Cyber Monday – I am thinking we might as well not even think about getting on-line at home that day. Our internet slows down when more than 2 people get on as it is. Can you imagine? Gotta love it.
And then there is the planning for Christmas. The. Big. Event. (and then pooof! It’s all over). The annual family pictures for those Christmas cards. Decorations come out of the boxes. Christmas trees go up. And the stress excitement begins!
So my friends……Cheers to November!
