Outstanding Seafood close by –

Dutch's DaughterThat’s the best way to describe Dutch’s Daughter…OUTSTANDING seafood and many other options!

Going there truly is a treat for us….a special occasion.  On Monday, on our way home from our anniversary trip we decided to stop in Frederick to have a nice, outstanding dinner.   I phoned ahead to make sure we could come dressed as we were (flip flops, shorts, sandals) and was pleasantly surprised to hear “of course!”  There is no dress code either upstairs or in the Dungeon.

The Dungeon

We had never been in the Dungeon so decided to head downstairs.  Very nice.  Perfect atmosphere.  Seating outside (we sat inside).  Quaint tables.  Attentive wait staff.  I’ll take it after the traffic we experienced during rush hour (495 and 270).

We ordred a bottle of wine and not because Mondays are half price either, ha!   (We chuckled when we chose William Hill Chardonnay which was the cheapest bottle and our server said “perfect choice”!  LOL) We scanned the menu to determine if we were going to have an appetizer.

We decided to not indulge in an appetizer but were ready to order.  Bread –

What a perfect way to wrap up a few days on the bay!

And they were so sweet to surprise us with an anniversary treat – ahhhh chocolate!

So for all you ‘locals’, if you have never tried Dutch’s Daughter in Frederick and it’s not too far to go.  It should definitely be on your restaurant bucket list.  I promise you will not be disappointed.  They have a formal dining room.  The Dungeon.  And even a brunch on Sunday Morning.  I heard that if I am really good that might just be where we go for my birthday =)  Woo hoo!
