
Yep, I think that is the only way I am going to succeed at this weight loss goal I have set. You see I have never NEVER weighted this much, non-pregnant. The scales hit 159.4 which is wayyyy too close to 160. So yesterday was the day. I am not going to give myself a break anymore!
We love to eat. Bottom line. What I need to do is actually do something physical. You see my day job and this blogging stuff totally has me sitting in my chair. Even when my iWatch tells me it’s time to stand, I don’t always do so.
Which means the alternative. EXERCISE. What better day to start than a Monday – and Memorial Day at that. (at least I will always remember when I took the leap). I rode 2.5 miles on my bike. I did 50 ‘sit ups’ on my ab lounger (yes, I still have one) and ran 1 mile on the treadmill. I can honestly say I felt much better even in just one work out. No weight lost but motivated.
I also need to choose better snacks. A few months ago my MIL got me hooked on carrots and pecans. Definitely curbed the appetite and are much better than even those 100 calorie packs of cookies.

I need to also scale back on my portions AND reduce the ice cream late at night to a treat ‘every now and then’ and earlier in the evening.
Sure sounds like I have a plan….now I just need to stick with it. I have found myself looking for less ‘fitting’ clothes. Leggings with long shirts. A swim suit?! NO WAY, ha! I love summer and love the water, sand and sun so CHOP CHOP. Let’s get this done. My goal is 20 lbs (at least). Fingers crossed…..I can do this!

I also searched for other motivational blogs and found the 18 best weight loss blogs of 2015. One way or another I am going to succeed. Determined!
