I struggle with that, for sure but this time it was a little easier. On the subject of antiques – my MIL recently purchased the car of her dreams LOL

Yep! a 1970 Volkswagen Beetle (bug) Car and she is in L.O.V.E. I totally understand, this is a beauty!

She stopped by on Sunday so I could see it and took me for a ride….Fun times!

And check this out! The windshield fluid is pumped using the pressure from the spare tire, ha! Better be sure to keep that checked =)

She wanted some flowers for her back glass so after a trip to Michael’s (and annoying Ronnie), we went to work.

Ta Daa!! and this arrangement looks Awesome in the back =)

It’s funny how the older we get (at least for me anyway) ‘things’ don’t matter as much. But ‘things’ with a story or history mean so much more. Granny actually had a bug very similar to this back ‘in the day’. It was navy blue. I think she loved that one almost as much as this ‘new’ one. And, it makes it all the better to have someone within 30-40 minutes away that specializes in Volkswagens. From what I have heard, ‘Bob’ is pretty cool – if you are ever in need here’s the info – Cooker’s. Whoa – he has some beauties! Be sure to check out the link ‘Our Personal Rides’. Ronnie would love to have one of those ‘split windshield’ van/bus.
Oh the good ole times – if you could have anything ‘antique’, what would IT be?!
Peace Out Girl Scout!
