to be a part of the Jefferson Baseball organization, for sure! This is our fourth year with this group of awesome families and amazing coaches, including the legendary John Lowery.

Little did I know that the last picture of Chase in a JHS uniform would be from the Championship win last year –

For three years he was an integral part of the team and was fortunate enough to experience a state championship. Unfortunately this year he wasn’t eligible. Very VERY hard to accept but some of life’s lessons are necessary. Well, I guess they are always necessary because everything happens for a reason. But honestly it was very hard to understand and accept. It is still very hard to look at right field. It’s still hard to not hear his name called in the starting line up. It’s still emotional when the national anthem plays and he isn’t in center field with the left and center fielders. And to not see a Sr. banner with his face was brutal. (it even looks like there’s a spot). It. Is. Just. Plain. Hard.

But what can you do? Well, you suck it up and continue to support this awesome organization!
Ronnie has been the President for three years and this one wasn’t any different. He still dedicated his time, was very passionate about the team and didn’t miss a beat from raffling off a Harley to announcing from the press box to concession food shopping to hooking up fryers and whatever else it took to get the job done. For that I am proud.
Tonight at the last home game of the season, Ronnie and Doug (the VP) were recognized and threw out the first pitch. Bitter sweet.

The team plays on Monday to determine advancement. Basically if we win 4 games we are the state champions once again. That would make the 12.
Amazing. Incredible. Unbelievable. All coached by The. John. Lowery.

So good luck JHS – you are a great team and it’s been a great 4 years. It would be icing on the cake to be part of another state championship but regardless being #1 in the state is very cool.
