Yep – I am down 5 lbs. While that might not seem like a lot, I honestly feel so much better that ‘just 5 lbs’ doesn’t really concern me. Woo hoo!
I have continued to focus on eating more healthy – so my days are pretty boring but proving to be effective –

Salads for dinner and lunches a few times –

Snacks that consist of Carrots, Cheese Sticks, Grapes, Strawberries, Fresh Pineapple –

Healthy Choice for lunch @ work. Low in calories and very tasty. Of course I still eat Special K bars for breakfast (and a hard boiled egg when possible)
Also contributing to this is 15 minutes of exercise per day. Yes, pathetic but hey – it’s better than none. I have been doing 100 sit-ups and 2 miles on my ‘bike’ daily. With things calming down, I plan to spend more time exercising in the coming weeks.
Worth noting is last weened we traveled which meant I didn’t eat ‘perfect’. AND I didn’t get to exercise. But still, progress has been made and it’s kind of addicting. Once you start noticing the difference and feeling better you want to keep going!
I can honestly see how people get frustrated when they have more weight than I do to lose. Seriously….it becomes overwhelming AND if you don’t see results quickly there is no motivation. Here’s my suggestion/words of advice:
- set a goal. a reasonable goal.
- plan time each day to work towards the goal
- eat dinner early. if you do have to eat late, reduce your portion and NOTHING afterward
- drink PLENTY of water
- and most importantly STAY focused – you can do this. I promise!
