The past two weeks have been really crazy at work. Without going into a lot of detail, Mendie is now in my role and I am ‘on loan’ to a really busy group sorta playing ‘consultant’ which is actually kind of cool but VERY stressful.
But, today is Friday and I love Fridays for a lot of reasons……the end of the work week, the beginning of the weekend, dinner out and payday every other week! Another tradition we have started the past year or so is – on payday Mendie and I get pedicures (whenever possible). Luckily the place we go is really close to work. They know we are on a tight schedule so we call ahead and our chairs are waiting for us, imagine that! We have been known to take conference calls from our chairs (it gets interesting when we have to talk though ), work on reviews, analyze reports, review the ‘ups and downs’ and sometimes we just simply watch the tv on the wall, catching up on the latest news. Starbucks is only a few doors away so it is not uncommon for us to have a really healthy lunch (latte’ and reduced fat banana chocolate chip bread) while relaxing our feet in the hot water!
Today was payday so guess what?! This is exactly what we did:
Pedicures – don’t they look great?!
Pumpkin spice latte’ (one decaf, one fully leaded, both skim milk, whipped cream, extra hot) and Pumpkin bread for lunch! We shared a piece since we are both watching our girlish figures, LOL!
